Terms of Service
Effective Date: Aug 15, 2026
Welcome to Sassafraz Flowers LLC. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and the consulting, floral design, event, installation, gifting, and related creative services provided by Sassafraz Flowers LLC (“Sassafraz,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By using this website, requesting services, approving a proposal, submitting payment, or engaging Sassafraz for a project, you agree to these Terms together with any proposal, estimate, invoice, contract, event agreement, or other written terms specific to your engagement.
Our Services
Sassafraz provides floral consulting, creative direction, floral design, event and venue services, installations, gifting, delivery coordination, and related experience-focused services.
Every engagement is different. The specific scope of work, deliverables, timing, pricing, payment schedule, installation requirements, delivery arrangements, and other project details will be defined through the applicable proposal, invoice, agreement, or written communication between Sassafraz and the client.
Where project-specific terms differ from these general Terms, the project-specific written agreement will control.
Consultation and Creative Services
Sassafraz approaches floral work as a creative and consultative service. Recommendations may take into account the location, occasion, guest experience, visual environment, season, availability of materials, venue requirements, budget, timing, and other practical considerations.
Creative decisions made during the course of an engagement may necessarily evolve as conditions change.
Approval of a design direction, proposal, estimate, or project scope authorizes Sassafraz to exercise reasonable professional and creative judgment in completing the work.
Floral and Material Availability
Flowers and botanical materials are natural products and are subject to seasonality, agricultural conditions, transportation, market availability, and variation in color, size, shape, and appearance.
Exact floral varieties, colors, vessels, materials, or other components cannot always be guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.
When necessary, Sassafraz may make substitutions that preserve the intended overall character, quality, scale, color story, and design direction of the approved work.
Natural variation is part of floral design and is not considered a defect.
Event and Venue Conditions
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information concerning event dates, locations, access times, venue contacts, setup windows, teardown requirements, loading procedures, security requirements, and any rules imposed by the venue.
Sassafraz is not responsible for delays, restrictions, additional costs, or changes resulting from inaccurate information, venue policies, restricted access, weather, transportation interruption, acts of third parties, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
When Sassafraz is working within a hotel, private club, funeral home, event venue, residence, corporate environment, or other third-party property, all work remains subject to that property’s rules and operational requirements.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide information and approvals reasonably required to complete the engagement.
Delays in approvals, changes in event details, revised guest counts, venue changes, changes in access, or additions to the original scope may affect pricing, availability, design, production schedules, and delivery.
Additional work requested outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.
Pricing and Payment
Pricing is determined by the particular engagement and will be communicated through a proposal, estimate, invoice, or agreement.
Deposits, retainers, payment schedules, final-payment requirements, cancellation terms, and any non-refundable amounts will be stated in the documentation associated with the project.
An estimate is not necessarily a guarantee of final cost if the client later changes the scope, quantities, event conditions, timing, venue requirements, or requested services.
Changes, Postponements, and Cancellations
Because floral and event work may require advance purchasing, scheduling, design time, preparation, staffing, transportation, and reservation of production capacity, cancellations or postponements may result in charges.
The cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, credit, and refund provisions applicable to a particular project will be stated in the client’s proposal or agreement.
Amounts already committed to flowers, materials, rentals, labor, transportation, outside vendors, or other nonrecoverable costs may remain the responsibility of the client.
Delivery and Installation
Sassafraz will make commercially reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery and installation times.
Event environments are inherently dependent upon venue access, traffic, weather, vendor coordination, security procedures, and other circumstances that may not be within our control.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Sassafraz is not responsible for conditions affecting floral work after delivery, installation, or transfer of responsibility to the client, venue, recipient, event team, or other designated party.
Care of Floral Work
Flowers are perishable products.
Their longevity can be affected by temperature, sunlight, hydration, handling, weather, room conditions, transportation, refrigeration, placement, and other factors.
Sassafraz does not guarantee a particular lifespan for floral materials once they have been delivered or installed unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
Privacy and Discretion Around Your Event
Sassafraz recognizes that many engagements involve private celebrations, family circumstances, memorials, hospitality environments, corporate relationships, personal gifting, or other sensitive situations.
Information concerning your event, recipient, family, guests, project, location, gifting purpose, or engagement will not be intentionally published or disclosed for promotional purposes without permission, except as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services or as required by law.
Sassafraz does not treat a client’s engagement as public simply because we created floral work for it.
Photography and Portfolio Rights
Sassafraz invests significant creative work in its floral designs, installations, arrangements, and visual concepts.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing before the project, Sassafraz reserves the right to photograph or document floral work that it has created and to retain those images as part of its professional portfolio.
Portfolio images may be used on the Sassafraz website, social media, presentation materials, proposals, professional credentials, editorial materials, or other examples of Sassafraz’s work.
When doing so, Sassafraz will make reasonable efforts to present the work independently from the private details of the event.
Sassafraz will not intentionally identify the client, host, recipient, guests, private residence, confidential event information, or other personally identifying event details in connection with portfolio use unless the client has agreed to that disclosure.
Where appropriate, images may be cropped, selected, or presented so that the focus remains on the floral work rather than the private event surrounding it.
Clients who require complete confidentiality, including a prohibition on photography or portfolio use, should notify Sassafraz before the engagement so that appropriate terms can be included in the project agreement.
Client-Provided Photography
If a client provides photographs, video, testimonials, event images, or other materials to Sassafraz for promotional use, the client represents that they have the right to provide those materials for the agreed purpose.
Sassafraz will not intentionally use client-supplied private materials publicly unless permission has been provided.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Sassafraz retains ownership of its original creative concepts, design approaches, photographs created by or for Sassafraz, presentation materials, drawings, proposal materials, methodologies, branding, website content, and other original intellectual property.
Payment for services does not automatically transfer ownership of Sassafraz’s underlying creative materials or intellectual property.
Clients may, of course, photograph and enjoy the completed floral work created for their event or engagement.
Third-Party Vendors
Certain projects may involve venues, delivery providers, rental companies, wholesalers, photographers, event professionals, payment processors, or other third-party providers.
Sassafraz is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, policies, systems, or performance of third parties outside our reasonable control.
Force Majeure
Sassafraz will not be liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, transportation interruption, government action, venue closure, labor disruption, power or communications failures, widespread illness, supplier failure, agricultural shortages, acts of God, or similar events.
When practical, Sassafraz will work with the client in good faith to identify reasonable alternatives.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sassafraz’s liability arising from a particular engagement will not exceed the amount paid by the client to Sassafraz for the portion of services giving rise to the claim.
Sassafraz will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or speculative damages arising from use of this website or from services provided.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current. However, photographs, descriptions, examples, pricing references, availability, and other website content are illustrative and may change.
Website imagery represents examples of previous work and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that an identical design, flower, material, scale, or composition can be reproduced.
